"Steak was dry and was and overcooked. It was supposed to be medium but it was well done. Salmon croquettes were too thick and dry as well. I wished they were patties instead. Baked potato was overcooked. Deviled eggs were decent. Fried okra, Cole slaw, rolls and hush puppies were good. The banana pudding was really good. The meringue was not overly sweet."

"I grew up in this small town, Russell Springs, KY. and every time I go home for a visit I have to go to this family owned restaurant, Coe's Steakhouse for their famous cornbread battered catfish. I never eat fish at a seafood restaurant. Not even when I go to the coast. I get fried or coconut shrimp. And the staff are full of smiles. In my teenage years, I used to pick up my two friends from work when they worked there over the weekend. People come from all over the USA to go out on the lake that was formed when they dammed up the Cumberland River in the early 1950's.. This is known as Wolf Creek Dam that made Lake Cumberland. Which runs through seven different counties. With 1,200 miles of shoreland. Stocked with catfish. But if you can't catch any, just run on up to Coe's Steakhouse 2281 Lakeway Dr, Russell Springs, KY 42642 and have their delicious catfish, which , in my opinion, is the best all over the world. Hands Down. One of the only places you can get home comes food at fast food prices."

" Coe's Steakhouse offers a delightful dining experience with a variety of dishes to satisfy your cravings. The fried potatoes with onions and peppers were a standout, boasting a perfect blend of flavors and crispiness that left me wanting more. The portion size of the fried catfish was generous, making it a great value for the price. However, the coleslaw, while tasty, leaned a bit too much on the sweet side for my personal preference. Overall, Coe's Steakhouse delivers on quality and value, making it a solid choice for a satisfying meal."

"On Hwy 127, 650 mile yard sale. Party of 3 were tired and hungry and been in/out of 90 degree heat since 10 that morning til 7 that night. Popular place, got seated within 20 minutes. Seemed organized but took over 10 minutes to get our water, tea and Dr Pepper. Place order. An hour later still no food. Limited air conditioner in wall set to 61 but couldn't manage the space or people. 5 tables seated after us, got their orders and 2 of the tables had almost finished eating when I had to ask manager about our order. Manager did apologize and gave us discount for the error and offered us complimentary dessert. Food was very good, just took too long and I got aggravated by the delay considering other people got theirs. One table had ordered the fish and steak just like we did."

"Thought I was stopping for steak, but when I saw that catfish is their speciality, I had to try it. I ordered a small (3piece) portion and still couldn't finish it. I haven't had such delicious catfish since my Grandma's fish fry when I was a kid! "

"Best Catfish I've ever had. Period. Could be called a "hole in the wall" but it's more like a hidden treasure. Came in about 7 pm and they sat me right down at a small table against the wall. Took about 15 minutes for my plate to come out. I had the Medium ($9.99) plate that came with four pieces of cornmeal fried catfish, one side (onion rings), and one vegetable (Waldorf Salad). Everything was hot and fresh. The homemade tartar sauce was also delicious. Everyone was SUPER friendly, attentive, and made it a point to make you feel like you're at "home". I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the Russell Springs/Columbia area."

"Very positive experience. We asked the waitresses about the negative review we saw here and they were sad to see it was there. We're glad we decided to stop in even though we saw that man's post. All the staff deserve an A+++. Food A+. *I would like to suggest an appetizer samplers. We ordered way too much food so we could try it all."
